Trout

An east wind blowing steadily at 20 knots, low tide waters (even at high tide), and 4 novice anglers proved to be a challenge for this Everglades fishing guide.  But, the trout cooperated today at just a few choice locations.  Pictured above are two trout, one at 21 inches, and the other at 24 inches were caught by Phil, Quincy, ILL., on a white 1/4 oz. buck tail jig with pink head.  These fish were caught on the grass flats, very near shore by Lostmans River.  Everglades fishing was challenging today but for Phil and company trout was the ticket.  It made for a happy Everglades fishing charters.
