Another Everglades Fishing Day

Another hard day of everglades fishing. However, for a half day we did ok. Josh and company got into some nice sheephead, goliath grouper, and one very very large fish which we will never know what it was. It went straight for the woods and broke the line. Sound familiar?

Backcountry Everglades Fishing

Scott and son Nate, Dallas, got into some backcountry snook and reds today with jig and shrimp. Also, they were using Riptide jigs. There were some keeper size fish. We were fishing in Canon Bay, Alligator Bay, and Plate Creek Bay. Some good everglades fishing there.

Everglades Redfish!

Everyday is different and today was no exception. Fred and Casey, Ft. Lauderdale, caught some nice redfish today on shrimp and cut ladyfish near Lostmans River. Also, they caught some trout, snook, and black drum. Fishing was slow today but a limit of reds is always nice, especially when they are large keepers.

Everglades fishing again today and tomorrow.

Some More Everglades Fishing

We are back in fall & winter mode of everglades fishing. We caught more sheephead, drum, reds, snook, and trout. Bob and company, Bonita Springs, caught a few of each. They caught them on shrimp. We had large greenbacks but they did not work well.

Oh well, that's everglades fishing for you.

Reds, Sheephead, Snook, Drum, etc.

Lee and Indy, Naples, had a very good Everglades fishing day. They caught large sheephead, snook, reds, drum, and snapper. They went home with some nice fillets. Most of the sheephead were between 4 to 6 pounds. They were using shrimp for bait fishing on the bottom.

Everglades Fishing Style

Jim Basara and company, Minnesota, caught some very nice redfish and snook on cut ladyfish today. Some of those redfish were oversize and one was swallowed whole by a very large shark. We also lost a very respectable snook on a stump. We were fishing an area north of the Shark River. Beautiful weather allowed us to make this long run in short order. A very good everglades fishing day.
