A Good Everglades Fishing Day

A good everglades fishing day for Robert and Don, Naples.  They got their share of trout, redfish, and sheephead.  All were caught in the rivers between Rogers and Chatham.  All were caught on shrimp, jig, and popping cork.  Cooler waters tend to get fish to bite natural baits.

Reds and Trout

There are reds and trout in the backcountry, the mouths of rivers and creeks, and along the outside shorelines from Fakahatchee Bay to Harney River.  Bring a bag of shrimp and a popping cork and you will not be disappointed.  Everglades fishing is as good as it gets.  Few tarpon around due to cooler waters and the snook are in the backcountry.  If you can get into some brackish waters you can bring some live bait in the backcountry and get a snook.  Or, you can plug cast for them with anything you want.  They will bite.
