Ten Thousand Islands Redfish

These redfish were no match for Jim and Doc Eliot, Marco Island. These fish measured 27 inches and 27+ inches. These anglers got their limit with slot sized fish in a hurry. They caught 9 slot sized fish and 25 out of slot fish. They were caught with shrimp and jig in Santini Bay which is north of Everglades City. A fine everglades fishing day.

Redfish are Plentiful and Feeding

It sounds like a broken record but Larry and John, Ohio & Penn., got into a few redfish today. Larry, pictured, caught a 29 inch redfish using shrimp and popping cork. We fished north of Everglades City into the Ten Thousands National Wildlife Refuge. A fine everglades fishing day.

It was a good everglades fishing day for Amanda and dad Brian, Ft. Lauderdale. They caught 29 redfish and several trout all near Lostmans River. All of the reds were catch and release and some of the trout made it to the dinner table tonight. A good everglades fishing day.

Reds, Reds, and more Reds

They are still here. Perhaps for a long time. Redfish everyday. We catch them on jigs and rubber tails and on shrimp and jig. Redfish every place we stop to fish. Today, Hutch and David, Tampa & Vermont, got into them with the largest nearing 27 inches, about 7lbs. Also pictured is David holding a red with multiple spots. A Texas hatchery fish. Come and get some everglades fishing.
