Everglades Fishing

For the past several days John and family, Tampa, caught some nice sheephead, black drum, redfish, trout, and snook.  Pictured are Yvvonne and John with keeper snook and oversize redfish.  All trout and out of slot size limit fish were released.  A few of the reds measured from 27 to 30 inches.

Everglades Snook and Reds

Dave and Rusty, Sarasota area, had a hard day of Everglades fishing but managed to scrape up this nice 32 inch snook.  The fish was caught near Lostmans River.  Also, plenty of smaller snook and reds.  One nice 24 inch red made it to the dinner table and the rest were released.

Chuck and company, NY, managed to get some nice reds and snook. Pictured is a 25 inch redfish and a 34 inch snook. The snook was released. A cold front made for a hard day of everglades fishing.

Redfish in October

Everglades fishing for redfish in October is the greatest.  For the past 3 days we have come back with our limit of redfish each day and the size was from 23 inches to 27 inches.  Also, some good snook fishing.  No trout due to the 20 knot winds messing up the grass flats.

Reds in September

A good Everglades fishing trip for September, especially after the storms we have been having.  Pete and cousin Mike, Naples, worked for their reds but came home with a bag limit of 26 and 25 inchers.  They also broke some off.  Smaller fish were caught but fun to catch.  These fish were caught on shrimp near Lostmans River.  Too muddy and 2 ft. ground swells prevented us from fishing further south.  Lots of fresh water, too.

Reds and Snook

It was a great everglades fishing day just ahead of Hurricane Gustav.  Dennis, Georgia, with Phil and son Kip, Ft. Myers, caught some very nice reds and snook.  The largest red was 28 inches and was released along with the 28 inch snook.  This everglades charter went home with their limit large redfish.  See photos.
