This morning we fished for Everglades tarpon and jumped 4 fish. Two were small in the 50 to 60 lbs. class and the other 2 were on the large size in the 120 plus lbs size. Ed and David, Naples, were fishing with artificial crank baits on spinning outfits. We were fishing small creeks south of Lostmans River. The temperature was a little cooler than I like for Everglades tarpon but they were there. Everglades fishing for tarpon is difficult this time of year due to the cold fronts but from mid March to early April the fishing greatly improves due to the warming waters. We had some fish nearly run into the boat in some of the tight creeks. There are few Everglades fishing guides who fish this way and some will not take a gamble due to the distance but this Everglades fishing guide will since most of the time it is very rewarding. It's all about the thrill of it. Everglades fishing for tarpon with this Everglades fishing charter is always an adventure.
