Mark, Jay, and Glen, Naples, Fl, got into these Everglades redfish. They came home with their limit of 3 very nice redfish. Everglades fishing was tough today but we managed to scrape up a few of these beauties. Jay, pictured above, got this 25 incher near Chatham River. The fish made for a dash under the boat but Jay angled him out and landed the fish. It was caught on a popping cork and a jig with shrimp. Way to go Jay. Lots of tarpon out there with this nice weather we are having.

Larry, Greg, and Jeff's Reds, etc.
Another day in paradise for Larry, Greg, and Jeff Everglades fishing at its finest. It started out very slow due to the extremely low tides but when the water got up the fish started biting. Larry and company started with trout and caught plenty but most were small. They ended up with 4 keepers up to 22 inches. We hit the beach and mangrove shorelines near Lostman's River and caught redfish up to 25 inches and black drum in the 5 pound range. Only one snook was caught. A limit of Everglades redfish was no problem. It was a mixed bag today. This Everglades fishing charter was a great success.

Sam and Ron with 2 nice Reds
Sam and Ron, Brooks Fishing Club, had a good half day of Everglades fishing today. They boated 2 nice Everglades redfish on a jig and shrimp with a popping cork. The fish measured 26 and 24 inches and were caught in an area near Lostmans River. The tide was low and I had to use the electric troll motor to get around. It will be snook season soon and we will shift tactics to get them. Everglades snook fishing can be quite a challenge on light tackle and these fish will get acrobatic in their fight. When this doesn't work they try for the trees, motors, and under the boat. This Everglades fishing guide will be ready.

Ed and a Red
Today was a hard day ( windy) of fishing but we managed to get some pretty nice trout and redfish. The redfish in the photo measured 24 inches and was caught on a tipped jig. We also caught keeper sheephead and black drum. Everglades fishing was very good to us. We also had some nice snook on and would have been keeper size if it were the season for them. All of our fish came from south of Lostman's River.

They also got trout, sheephead, snook, and black drum, all keepers. The snook were released. Fish fry tonight. Ron's red was nearly 27 inches and FAT. Today, fish hit on tipped jigs and ratlin raps. This Everglades fishing guide was happy today.

A Snook Morning
Everglades fishing for snook can be good during the winter in the Everglades National Park. This Everglades snook was caught in the late morning north of Everglades City and took a jig tipped with shrimp. A few more were caught and all were release due to closed season. More and more of my anglers are releasing all fish during the open season. This Everglades fishing guide is happy to release keeper fish.

Nice Redfish
Today Susan from Orlando was fishing with me and landed this nice 25 inch Everglades redfish. Susan caught it on a tipped jig with a popping cork. This fish got under the boat 3 times but Susan knew what to do and landed it. These fish were in less than a foot of water and you could almost see them tailing. Everglades fishing was good today. We caught plenty of nice keeper size trout. All fish were released. For a memorable Everglades fishing charters call me as I am booking up.
